The Margaux appellation is, geographically speaking, the largest in the Medoc. Margaux is famous for producing well-rounded, gently perfumed wines, predominantly from Cabernet-Sauvignon. Their distinctive flavors and profile are often attributed to the local soils which within Medoc are all sedimentary.
