Cote Chalonnaise Region
Sub region of Burgundy region
Cote Chalonnaise is a sub region of Burgundy located between the Cote de Beaune to the north and the Maconnais to the south.
Both red and white wines are produced here from the Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grape varieties.
While not the most famous of Burgundy regions a new generation of winemakers is responsible for producing some good quality wines.
The appellations within Cote Chalonnaise are as follows,
Bouzeron, Givry, Mercurey, Montagny and Rully.
